A New blog..

I have gone and set up a new blog at a new site...I am not sure about it yet, but for the moment will let this one just float out there in cyber space and I will use the other one...feel free to check out

It has been awhile since I have been here and I am feeling a bit out of place..
The exhibition opening was great...and is still on if you are up for checking it out..I wont go on..thanks for following me on this site...

A spot of camping

We have just returned from a five day working holiday/camping trip at Confest. It has been over 20 years (yes I am not as young as you think!) since I have been there and truth be known it was not really my thing...but all that aside...the kids had a ball, I made a crazy puppet in the kids tent, and worked like crazy selling coffee...

 

 

Since returning I have been running in circles trying to get everything ready for the Exhibition opening. There is all that boring stuff to do like framing and hooks and wire...bla bla bla....
On the up side I now have a website...please check it out..

Almost Exhibition Time....

Well the Castlemaine State Festival ended yesterday and I must say I am feeling a bit sad that the festivities have come to an end. It was lovely to have the streets a buzz... bands playing every night (even if I didn't get to many) and open studios and art galore!

In case you too are feeling at a loss do not fret because Liz and I have an Exhibition opening after Easter. So when your chocolate has settled in your tummy come on down and check out what we have been up to in our studios. Check out www.lizduthie.com she is an amazing illustrator.

In other news....c8 Designs ( Jamie and my New Business) is up and running. We don't have a website as yet but as soon as it is in action I will let you know.

We will be making lamps...some shades will be in the Exhibition. Metal Art Gates, Letter boxes ( I will post a picture of our crazy box) and Sculpture...and plenty of other creations that grow inside our heads. More details to come...
for now we must Ker chunk Ker chunk away in our respective sheds......
I am really excited about this new venture it will combine all things Excellent.
Textiles and Metal, what more could you ask for...

Finally 4....

Today we celebrated 4 years with our jelly bean..

Finally four! All her friends have turned 4 a while ago, so the anticipation has been brewing. So many fabulous things happen when you are 4. You can do up half your seat belt, eat all your dinner (sometimes) and teach your sister how to do a forward roll!

Happy Birthday. It seems like such a long time ago when I had no idea what I was truly letting myself in for. I have eaten many words in these four years as I take back all the things I thought a parent could do.... I wont bore you with the many passing judgements I thought about what  you should be able to do when you had a child...

And so here I am 4 years later about to have an Exhibition and about to start a small business with my partner.
I have been working to a count down to the opening of the Exhibition. Flyer coming soon.
And more about the business....another day.

The party was great and thanks to all our fabulous friends and their beautiful kids who made today a special number 4.

THE NEW YEAR IS HERE

Well the New Year is well and truly happening. So Happy New Year to you all!...
2013 is going to be a Fabulous year....with plenty of hard work...

I am currently doing a full time business course. A place that my creative head has never been before. So you can understand that at times I have felt as though my head will EXPLODE!!!
Our home has had some changes too as Bloke has been home full time with the kids...Everyone is adjusting really well...except maybe me? But whinging aside...there are some exciting projects ahead...

Bloke and I are starting a business together....more information on that later...
Exhibition in April....dates to be announced....
And somewhere in between the Castlemaine State Festival (March15-24)...

Merry Xmas.....

The silly season is upon us! I would like to wish you all a Very Merry Xmas and thank you for reading my blog this year. Next year is going to be full of new adventures and projects I look forward to sharing them with you all in the New Year.....So have an Excellent Silly Season..

Paper flower frenzy...

We have been in a tissue paper frenzy here. Me making huge paper flowers and the kids using my corner off cuts and gluing them to anything they can get their hands on. I started with a few but now I cant stop...I have made about 20 now and wondering if I need to do MORE...

So easy to make...think I might go and make a few more...
