There has been plenty of colour inspiration this week. And some serious cleaning up of the sewing room! Man it was totally out of control....so now that I am sorted..

Party Crowns.

A fabulous mad pink party! Kids in Pink, adults in Pink. It was great. I couldn't help but wear a little red with my pink. But hey, that just me.Not a lot of sewing this week, so here are some images from our week. Enjoy!

Babushka on Boats?

While sorting through my felt stash I rediscovered a pattern for little Babushka dolls. Crowns aside (for the moment) make way for these cute little Felties. From a book by the same name, if you are looking to make some. I want to make families and families, from small to tall. Could this be a new obsession. Perhaps Babushka on Boats!

Today I went in search of fabric for crowns and tutu's. A friend is turning 4 and pink surprisingly is the theme colour. Tonight when the poppets are sleeping I will stow away to sew in the sewing room. Stay tuned for Crown photo tutorial. Hot pink, orange and red...how could one go wrong.

New Coat.....

Every girl needs a new coat! And we all love a good hand me down. I love the way clothes are passed around...I have been out op-shopping for more boat fabric. I never know what it is until I see it. That's the thrill of the hunt! I am working on some Birthday crowns at the moment. I have drawn a pattern and will cut them out of felt with an elastic back. Then of course lots of pink and beads and ribbon.

They make a great gift and are excellent for the dress up box.

T shirts in Winter!

I am looking outside and the leave are falling and there is a chill in the air. I have just sewn lots of cute patches on T shirts. Hmmm is this the wrong season to be doing so? My girls are very excited by theirs and are very unhappy that they have gone to the soak bucket. I have opened an ETSY shop so I will put them in there. Perhaps for a warmer day!
