And so I went to the Zoo....

Well I have decided that there will be no 365 day project or 52 week project! Why try to confine art to a number or confine it to a time frame....
There were too many what if's...what if I wanted to work on something longer than the time given...what if I was making stuff because I felt obligated.....what if i wanted to go to the zoo and wouldn't have time to sew anything.....why limit myself...and so on..
I decided that a better way to get more out of myself was to go to the sewing room more often!
So until further notice that's my new rule..ha ha.
And then I went to the zoo with the family and some friends!
The question is...is art nurtured by discipline? Any thoughts?
I have a heater in the sewing room so there really should be no excuses...till next time
Sew on!

Tee Pee and a Skirt for Me!

It makes sense to have a tee pee skirt when they spend most of their time hanging off it or under it. The Tee pee worked well although I am going to get Jamie to make a plate for the bottom to stop it sliding...maybe rubber stoppers would do the trick!

I am thinking about creating a piece every day..A 365 day project! What do you think? Maybe a 52 week one. Not sure what I can handle. I will think about it and let you know, any comments welcome.
Have a great day!

There is nothing like a walk in the bush...

There is nothing like a walk in the bush to excite the colour senses...

I went to see the Fred Williams Exhibition on Saturday. I was moved and inspired by his painting! So many beautiful colours...His pallet was breathtaking. I was so excited that I found myself moving from picture to picture then back again. I went round and round the last room drinking my fill of colour!  His paintings of the Australian landscape were some of the most amazing pictures I have seen in a long time.
I recommend seeing this one before it closes. 5 stars.
